What happens later at home?
A person will often be given medications to prevent or manage side effects that may occur after he or she returns home. A person treated with BRMs needs to remain in close contact with his or her healthcare providers after the procedure.
What are the potential complications after the procedure?
The side effects of most BRMs are similar to flu symptoms. These symptoms include:
high fever
chills
fatigue
nausea
loss of appetite
Medications to reduce side effects can be helpful. Sometimes, however, the side effects can be hard to control. All of these side effects go away when treatment ends.
