Symptoms of a nose emergency will vary, depending on the type of problem.
Following are some of the signs and symptoms of nosebleeds:
bleeding from one or both nostrils
bleeding into the back of the throat
coughing up blood that has drained into the back of the throat
feeling of fullness in the ears
gagging
Some of the usual signs that a foreign body may be lodged in the nose are as follows:
difficulty breathing through the clogged nostril
pain or irritation with the sensation of something in the nostril
foul-smelling discharge if the object is left in the nostril
sneezing
tearing
A nose fracture usually involves the following:
black eyes on both sides
deformed appearance of the nose
difficulty breathing through the clogged nostril
a feeling of pain along the bridge of the nose and the area between the eyes
nasal pain and swelling
nosebleed
